**JLF - CHILD ABUSE** **Last Updated Date:** 05/27/2014 **Adoption Date:** 01/10/2006 The principal of each school shall assume the responsibility of receiving and reporting incidence of suspected child abuse/neglect from school personnel. Reports will be orally communicated immediately to the department of social services and a written report (51A) will be made within forty-eight (48) hours to the department of social services signed by the building principal. A confidential copy of the report will be forwarded to the superintendent of schools.
