**JJFB - GRADUATED CLASS ACCOUNTS** **Last Updated Date:** 05/27/2014 **Adoption Date:** 10/28/2008 Once students graduate from South Hadley High School, their class accounts may no longer be retained in the Student Activity Fund. All funds in a class account must be liquidated by October 1 following graduation.  Once all known invoices for any class expenses are paid, the balance in the class account must be closed out. In order to close out a class account, the following steps shall be taken:             1.   Class officers shall decide before graduation what to do with any funds remaining after all bills related to graduation and/or class expenses are paid.                   Options:    a)   Donate the balance to the high school’s General Scholarship Fund.                                     b)  Donate the balance to one or more school activities/clubs/                                           undergraduate class.                                     c)   Transfer the funds to a checking/savings account set up in the name                                           of at least two class officers for the purpose of funding alumni reunions.  (Note:  The school/town tax exempt number may not be used for such an account.)             2.   If the class officers do not notify the principal of their intention in writing prior to graduation, the balance remaining will be transferred to the school’s General Scholarship Fund.
