**EDD - SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS** **Last Updated Date:** 02/25/2014 **Adoption Date:** 01/10/2006 Students who attend the South Hadley Public Schools have the right to equal access to basic supplies and materials for learning. As a necessary component of a quality education, students of the South Hadley Public Schools will be provided with access to basic supplies and materials needed for learning. This access should take the following form: Grades K- 4                             The school will provide access to the basic supplies for writing and coloring and organization as outlined in the administrative procedures manual. Teachers are free to solicit one-time materials related to specific instructional lessons. Grades 5 -6                             The school will provide access to the basic supplies needed for writing and organization as outlined in the administrative procedures manual. Teachers are free to solicit materials for specific instructional lessons as well as suggest additional materials which would be helpful but are not mandatory for class participation or work completion. Grades 7 -12                           The school will provide access to the basic supplies as outlined in the administrative procedures manual. Teachers are free to require basic organizational materials and may solicit materials for specific instructional lessons.
