**DJFA - PURCHASE OF GOODS AND SERVICES BY SCHOOL-RELATED GROUPS**
**Last Updated Date:** 02/25/2014
**Adoption Date:** 01/10/2006
The School Committee recognizes that certain school-related groups may generate revenue and incur expenditures on behalf of students. Such groups would include student activity groups that have been authorized by school administrators (e.g., student yearbook, student newspaper, various athletic teams, etc.) or adult groups who provide beneficial services to our students (e.g., parent-teacher organizations, booster clubs, etc.). While the revenues and expenditures of these groups are not subject to School Committee control, the following guidelines are strongly encouraged for each group:
1. All fund raising activities by student or parent groups must be clearly communicated to the public as separate and distinct from the South Hadley Public Schools, the South Hadley School Committee, and the Town of South Hadley.
2. School-related groups are encouraged to consult with the superintendent or the superintendent’s designee prior to conducting large transactions ($1,000.00 or more).
