**DFDA-R - PASSES FOR ADMISSION TO ATHLETIC EVENTS** **Last Updated Date:** 02/25/2014 **Adoption Date:** 01/10/2006 At least one week prior to each athletic season, the band director, president of the Booster Club of South Hadley (BASH), senior class advisor, and athletic director will submit to the high school principal a written list of the specific volunteer work assignments to be carried out at home games in support of their programs and the number of admission passes needed for volunteers to carry out these assignments. The number of free admission passes requested should relate to the specified volunteer assignments, and based on needs, may be less than the maximum number of passes allowed by policy. Upon receipt of such written requests, the high school principal will approve the issuance of free admission passes up to the limits set in policy. In the event that special circumstances require additional volunteers to work at a particular game or throughout the athletic season, the band director, BASH president, class advisor, or athletic director may submit a written request for extra admission passes to the high school principal. Such requests must specify the date(s) of events which require additional volunteers, the number of additional passes requested, and the rationale for the need. The principal may approve the request and issue additional passes, based on appropriate justification. Upon the principal’s approval, the athletic director will prepare and issue admission passes to the band director, BASH president, and class advisor. These individuals will be responsible for distributing the admission passes to the designated volunteer workers. Free and reduced admission to athletic events will be granted to only those persons who present passes at the gate. All others will be required to pay applicable regular fees for admission to home games.
